Silo Reports

Introduction

Silo contains a number of reports available to help you manage your data. There are two categories of report:

  • Quick Report – this allows you to export a list of members, with various filters available
  • Summary Reports – these allow reporting on other areas of Silo, such as member roles

Quick Report

To access the Quick Report, click Reports on the top menu bar and then Quick on the left-hand menu:

You will then be presented with a series of checkboxes which allow you to customise the results:

  • Banned/Suspended – this will limit the report to only show members who are currently banned or suspended
  • Has Health – this will only show members who have ticked at least one of the health sections of the form (e.g. those with allergies, dietary info etc.)
  • Is Under 18 – this will only show members who are currently under 18

By default, the export will only contain basic fields such as name, email address, age etc. You can tick any of the following boxes to add fields to the export:

  • Export Full Address – includes the member’s address
  • Export Ban Info – includes details of the member’s ban/suspension, e.g. ban expiry date
  • Export ICE – includes details of both emergency contacts
  • Export Medical – includes details of the member’s health section
  • Export Photo Consent – includes details of whether the member has consented to photographic rights, and whether they are happy for their name to be used on social media

You can also click any of the coloured pins – if these are selected, it will limit the report to members with that pin (see section 4.4 – Using Pins for more info).

Summary Reports

Summary reports allow you to export various different types of data from Silo. The reports currently available are as follows:

  • Member Status Report
  • Roles Report

More reports will also be added in the future.

Report Options

There are three options for each report:

  • Run – runs the report with default settings and displays results on screen (NOTE: this option is not currently available)
  • Export – runs the report with default settings and exports results to a CSV file
  • Config – allows you to customise certain sections of the report

Member Status Report

This report allows you to export the members in your club who are currently listed as banned or suspended. It will also include details of when the ban/suspension expires (if applicable).

Please note that this will only include members you have permission to see on Silo (i.e. members from your own club). If you need to check banned members from other clubs, please contact your county office.

Roles Report

This report allows you to export members currently to assigned to a certain role(s).

If you click the Export button, it will download all roles currently assigned to your club. Alternatively, if you click Config then you can choose the following option:

  • To limit the export to specific roles, click the Roles dropdown and select the ones you need from the list (you can choose more than one if you wish)

Using Pins

Pins are a useful way of using the reports to select a small number of members. The most common use of them will be when you are exporting teams for a competition, and only want the details for a handful of members.

To pin a member, first go to the members list for whichever club the member is in and find them on the list. Next to their name you will see four pins as follows:

Silo Guide Pins 1

Click the pin you want to assign to the member and then make sure you save the changes by clicking Update Pins at the bottom of the screen.

You can export members with a particular pin by using the Quick Report feature (covered in another section of this guide) and clicking the pin you want before exporting the results.

Note: you can also update pins from the search results on the Find a Member page.

To clear members from a particular pin, currently you will need to find them and then unclick the pin, and save the changes.
