One of the key charitable objectives of Young Farmers’ clubs is to advance the education of members in their knowledge of agriculture, crafts, life skills and rural affairs and to trainer members to play their full part in life and their community. A varied programme is the secret to achieving these objectives.
NFYFC have developed a range of workshops that can be delivered to your club by other members in your county who are trained to deliver entertaining, informative and engaging club evenings. The workshops cover Agri topics such as farm safety and succession planning, key issues affecting young people such as mental health, rural crime, plastic pollution, food waste and bullying and topics to help member stay safe such as Drive it Home and E Safety. All club officers undertake online safeguarding training. The aim of the course is to ensure club officers feel confident to prevent situations occurring and know how to deal with a situation if it does arise and where to seek help. An officer’s role is to put procedures in place to prevent harm and ensure safety and to protect members and themselves. Officers can access the training platform at https://learning.nfyfc.org.uk
