What is the YFC is for Everyone Action Group

NFYFC’s YFC is for Everyone Action Group was set up to help improve the way YFC tackles wellbeing, respect and inclusion.

The group invited YFC members, parents and other key stakeholders to join together to discuss issues affecting YFCs and suggest solutions to influence positive changes.

Has the group met?

The group held its first meeting in September 2024, following a call out for people to attend.

The first meeting was to discuss issues and concerns that had been raised and to look at ways to make improvements.

NFYFC is sharing recommendations following on from the first meeting.

Will there be future meetings?

The group intends to stay in contact with regular updates. There will also be meetings that involve outside organisations that could input into topics around wellbeing, respect and inclusion.

What were the recommendations from the first meeting?

Two key areas are being focused on:

To make clubs and counties more accountable for meeting wellbeing/welfare requirements, as well as including and welcoming everyone.

To review and improve the way communication is cascaded at a national, county and club level.

Can people still join the group?

Yes, we welcome everyone who is interested in influencing positive changes in YFC.
