7-11 October 2024
The biggest celebration of Young Farmers’ Clubs is fast approaching and we’re urging everyone to join in.
National Young Farmers’ Week, sponsored by AGRII, is a week-long celebration of all things YFC and this year the theme is YFC is for Everyone.
There's loads of fun stuff happening every day and you and your YFC can get involved in the action.
A toolkit will be available for all clubs to download soon but in the meantime start planning how your club will get involved in the week. There are prizes on offer if you get involved in the national activities too!
Encourage your YFC to demonstrate how welcoming your club is to new members. You can record a Reel or TikTok or create a graphic or poster to share on social media during National Young Farmers’ Week. Get creative and discuss as a club how to promote your YFC in a way that encourages everyone to join.
Share your video, graphic or poster on social media during National Young Farmers’ Week and tag @NFYFC and @AGRII. We’ll pick a winner at the end of the week (Friday 11 October).
Organise a club or county food bank donation to support your local communities. Check with your local food bank to see what items they’re in need of the most and organise a collection in your club (Harvest Festival collections count too). Just record the number of bags you donated in our online form so we can tally up how YFCs did across England and Wales.
Post a photo of your club and its donation on social media on Community Day (Weds 9 October) too and tag @NFYFC and @AGRII.
Encourage as many members as possible in your club to bring a friend from outside of YFC to your club meeting during National Young Farmers’ Week or to your club’s New Members’ Night. For those who consent, you can take a pic of you and your ‘plus one’ and post on social media using the #YFCPlusOne hashtag.
