The NFYFC is seeking an experienced and motivated individual who can drive and further develop the fundraising streams and for the organisation. Applicants should have a talent of managing developing and nurturing relationships with sponsors and funding bodies.
This post drives and further develops the fundraising revenue and key partnerships for the organisation.
Candidates will be motivated and persuasive and will have excellent organisational and communication skills, as well as a proven record of the knowledge and skills required to build strong relationships with a range of stakeholders, funders and key partners. They will have experience of developing fundraising strategies, the ongoing management of long-term funding partnerships and have good knowledge of the UK fundraising marketplace. The successful candidate will work well as part of a team and show enthusiasm with a creative and ‘can do’ approach to their work.
In addition, but not essential, candidates will have experience of working collaborating with volunteers/supporters and have effective committee work skills.
The post is full-time and is based on the hybrid motel of a mix of home working and at NFYFCs offices (Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire) and travel throughout England and Wales may be occasionally required.
The NFYFC is seeking applicants from a wide range of backgrounds. As a youth organisation the NFYFC is committed to the safeguarding of young people and vulnerable adults. All posts are subject to Safe Recruiting Procedures, and this posts will require a DBS check at enhanced level (with barred lists).
1.1. The purpose of this role is to manage relationships with existing funders, which are a mix of grants, trusts and commercial sources, and to build new relationships with new funders/partners.
1.2. The Fundraising and Partnership Manager will identify potential funding, that is aligned to NFYFCs work, and work with colleagues to identify projects for funding.
1.3. The Fundraising and Partnership Manager will produce successful bids, applications and reports and updates to funders.
2.1. Developing and managing current funder relationships including servicing the agreements that are in place.
2.2. Working with colleagues to identify projects/programmes for funding and developing associated budgets and resource requirements.
2.3. Identifying, researching and prioritising new strong funding prospects for the organisation. Preparing persuasive and tailored applications for funding.
2.4. Preparing reports and evaluations for funders and for NFYFCs management team/Board.
2.5. Maintaining accurate records of funding and partnership working.
2.6. Providing fundraising advice to NFYFC’s constituent network of county federations on best practice for local fundraising.
2.7. Establishing affinity deals for NFYFCs membership.
We are seeking applicants with:
3.1. A talent of managing and developing funding relationships – a persuasive personality
3.2. Experience in securing funding from trusts, commercial sources and other funding bodies
3.3. Experience of nurturing and managing relationships with a varied portfolio of funders
3.4. Experience of producing reports and evaluations for funders and for internal use
3.5. Good knowledge of the UK fundraising marketplace
3.6. A good level of knowledge, or ability to rapidly acquire knowledge, in sectors that are key to the National Federation of Young Farmers’ Clubs in England and in Wales.
3.7. Excellent organisational and communication skills
3.8. Experienced IT users
3.9. Ability and motivation to deliver high quality work in a fast-paced environment
3.10. Applicants with experience of working with volunteers/supporters
3.11. Experience of committee work
The successful candidate will work well as part of NFYFC’s staff team and show enthusiasm with a creative ‘can do’ approach to their work. The post is permanent. It is full-time with a hybrid model of working - a mix of home working and at NFYFCs offices (Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire). Occasional travel may be required to events/conferences or similar.
