The NFYFC Annual General Meeting is to be held at on Sunday 13 April 2025 at the The Assembly Rooms, Royal Pump Room Gardens, Dormer Place, Leamington Spa, Warwickshire CV32 5AA. The meeting will commence at 10.30 hrs. The first draft agenda is below:
YFC clubs and county federations are now invited to put forward resolutions for inclusion on the agenda paper. Resolutions must be received by the Secretary (NFYFC Chief Officer) by the deadline of 12 noon Friday, 31 January 2025. To submit a motion for the agenda, please use this form:
Motions/Amendments must be moved by a Young Farmers’ Club, or a County Federation of Young Farmers’ Clubs or the Council of the National Federation.
Only those three sectors of the organisation may put forward a Motion/Amendment and, where a County Federation or Club sends forward such a Motion/Amendment, the County Federation/Club is responsible for finding another Club or a County Federation to act as seconder.
Motions/Amendments from a club must be approved by a meeting of members of the club and Motions/Amendments from a county federation must be approved by a meeting or the county executive or board.
The following timetable is in place for building the agenda for the NFYFC Annual General Meeting.
Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact James Eckley at the YFC Centre.
Closer to the meeting date, the final agenda will be published, and instructions on how to use the online voting platform will be sent to each Club Chair, Club Secretary, YFC Area Chair and members of the NFYFC Council.
Each YFC club is entitled to two votes—one for the Club Chair and one for the Club Secretary.
Each YFC county federation is entitled to one vote - the County Chair or another named and nominated member of the county executive.
Each member of the NFYFC Council is entitled to one vote – the named member of the NFYFC Council representing each county federation.
When the final agenda is published, carrying the Resolutions/Amendments from YFC clubs, county federations and the NFYFC Council, it will be important for clubs and county federations to hold in discussions with the YFC membership regarding the motions on the agenda. This ensures that the officers can effectively represent their club's views during the voting process.
