Experience a 14-day journey blending urban community support with traditional nomadic life. Spend your first week in Ulaanbaatar supporting early childhood development by teaching English, promoting hygiene and good nutrition, and revitalising school environments through gardening or renovation projects.
In the second week, travel to the Tuv Province to live in a traditional yurt with a nomadic herding family. You will support their daily livelihood by herding livestock, milking cows, and assisting with household chores.
This immersion, paired with visits to Terelj National Park and the Genghis Khan statue, offers a profound cultural exchange that benefits both the volunteer and the local community.
Nomadic Wilderness Immersion: Live with a herding family in a traditional yurt and assist with the daily chores of life on the steppe.
Early Childhood Development: Support local school staff in Ulaanbaatar by teaching English literacy and numeracy to young children.
Sustainable School Projects: Improve the learning environment by establishing school vegetable gardens or assisting with classroom renovations.
