The Countryside Code is particularly important for YFCs and the rural communities they live or work in.
The Country Code was introduced in 1951 as an amendment in the National Parks and Access to the Countryside Act 1949. In 2004, it was rebranded the Countryside Code. It is managed by both Natural England and Natural Resources Wales and now features that loveable rogue Shaun the Sheep. We can all help share these important messages at events or within YFC projects so that everyone understands how to respect the countryside and nature.
The winning entry of the NFYFC EIEIO Challenge did just that, so thinking caps on for what you can do to help spread some more positive messages!
