A key highlight of the NFYFC Performing Arts Competitions, the Pantomime category challenges teams from across the country to put together vibrant, family-friendly productions full of humour, drama, and, of course, audience participation.
Pantomime, a unique blend of fairy tales and comedy, offers endless opportunities for creativity, with teams encouraged to infuse their performances with singing, dancing, clowning, and topical jokes. Whether performing an original script or excerpts from a classic pantomime, participants will have the chance to demonstrate a wide range of skills, from acting and choreography to set design and technical prowess.
The competition is open to all NFYFC members aged 28 and under, providing a wonderful platform for young people to develop their talents in theatre arts. Beyond the fun and excitement, it’s also a valuable opportunity for participants to build teamwork, communication skills, and confidence.
The road to the National Final begins with Area Eliminators, with the best teams advancing to compete at the prestigious Spa Centre in Leamington Spa on April 12-13, 2025. With awards for Best Production, Best Male and Female Actors, and special accolades for young performers, the competition promises to be fierce and full of unforgettable performances.
