Young Farmers invited to apply for Oxford Farming Conference 2027 scholarship

The Oxford Farming Conference 2026 Scholars Programme is now open and NFYFC is working with the Worshipful Company of Farmers (WCF) to offer two scholarships for eligible YFC members.

The OFC Scholars’ programme allows scholars to attend the conference as well as providing access to a series of online bespoke webinars. The offer aims to give young people in the early stages of their career the opportunity for peer-to-peer networking and to share views and ideas, while gaining access to key skills development training.

The programme welcomes a broad diversity of individuals and applicants from outside of the agriculture sector. Scholars should be aged under 30 years, have not previously attended the conference and be prepared to take time off work to attend in-person and online training events, otherwise they will be disqualified as a scholar.

Next year's conference which is on 6-8 January 2027, has the theme of Harmony. YFC AGRI Vice Chair Jess Radnor from Herefordshire was one of the 2026 scholars and enjoyed the experience.

“It was helpful to network amongst ourselves and have other people we already knew when attending OFC for the first time,” said Jess about being part of the OFC scholarship programme.

“The other scholars were all lovely and each of us had a slightly different skillset too. The post-debate supper at Christ Church College also warrants a mention. It’s not every day you have a farm to fork three course dinner in what felt like Hogwarts after a great debate!"

How to apply

To be considered for a scholarship, YFC members should email a copy of their CV, including their YFC membership number, and additional information stating their reasons for applying to NFYFC‘s AGRI Manager Sarah Palmer.

Please note: Potential scholars must be able to attend the in-person and online training events otherwise they will be disqualified as a scholar. Applicants must ensure they are able to take time off from work to attend.

Deadline for applications is 31 July 2026.
