YFCs needed to support farmers on Open Farm Sunday

Young Farmers’ Clubs (YFCs) across England and Wales are being called on to offer their support to farmers during Open Farm Sunday on 9 June.

Farming’s annual open day is an ideal opportunity for YFCs to support their rural community and to promote YFC.

Annabel Shackleton, Open Farm Sunday Manager at LEAF, said:

“We know many farmers are looking for volunteers to help support their Open Farm Sunday events.

"Please get involved with your local event and support farmers in educating the public about farming and food production so they can make sustainable choices to support the future of British agriculture.

“It’s also a fantastic opportunity for YFCs to showcase what they do and to potentially bring in some new members!”

YFC members can offer to help with parking cars, stewarding, refreshments or general setting up and clearing away.
