YFC members awarded funding for agri training courses

Ten lucky YFC members have been awarded a Jubilee Scholarship from the Worshipful Company of Farmers (WCoF) to help fund an agri-related training course.

The Jubilee Scholarship Scheme offers up to £750 towards agri course costs and training. The funding is exclusive to NFYFC members who want to further their career and professional development.

This year’s applications closed at the end of June and YFC members requested funding for courses ranging from tractor driving to DIY AI courses.

The following YFC members have been awarded funding from WCoF this year towards their chosen courses.

  • Megan Hall, Lothersdale YFC, IAgSA online courses
  • Alexander J Davells, Surrey, Tractor driving at Plumpton College
  • Fergus Starkey, Lantra tractor driving course
  • Harry Towers, Louth YFC, Chainsaw course
  • Sienna Jones, Okehampton YFC, Vale Farm Vets Herdperson course
  • Theodore Brown, Weald of Kent, PA1 and PA6a combined course in Kent
  • Samuel Sharp, Melton Mowbray, Chainsaw Maintenance
  • Kathleen Roberts, Oakham YFC, DIY AI course with Semex
  • Beth Williams, Wedmore YFC, Second year, Agriculture, Level 3 at Sparsholt college
  • Patrick Rich, Farington Gurney, Cattle DIY AI at Shepton Vets, Somerset.
