Daisy joined Brentwood YFC at a challenging time, as it was at risk of folding. Instead of walking away, she stepped forward to take on the role of Chair despite being relatively new to YFC.

By listening to members, communicating effectively through group chats and creating opportunities based on what members want to do, she has helped grow the club to 20 members and created an inclusive, welcoming environment.

Unable to take part in competitions following an injury, she has continued to contribute positively by focusing her energy on supporting others and strengthening the club. She launched and manages the club’s social media channels, including TikTok and Instagram, helping to raise awareness and attract new members. She has also successfully bridged the gap between different age groups, encouraging experienced members to support younger members in experiencing everything YFC has to offer. Through her leadership, Daisy has made a lasting impact on her club and its future.

Henry has quickly become a valued member of his club. Currently studying for an agricultural apprenticeship at college, he stepped in at the last minute to support the Farm Machinery Skills Competition, which was a chance to put his learning into practice.

Known for always giving 100% and bringing a real "can do" attitude, he is an inspiration to members of all ages, particularly younger members. His willingness to step forward when needed, combined with his creativity and desire to go the extra mile, has contributed to a number of successful performances in competitions for the club.

Henry regularly supports club meetings, social events and fundraising activities, while also encouraging friends to join, helping to strengthen the club's future. With aspirations to become Club Chair, enhance the club's reputation, bring home the Rally Shield and even pursue opportunities to apply for the YFC Working Scholarship to New Zealand, Henry has a bright future ahead of him in YFC.

Encouraged by her dad to give her local club a try, Jessica has embraced every opportunity that membership has offered. Despite initially lacking confidence and managing a speech impediment, which has improved significantly during her first year in Netherseal YFC, she has also built lasting friendships and gained the confidence to complete her Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award.

Known for her enthusiasm, positive attitude and willingness to get involved, she has become a valued member of her club through her support for competitions and community projects. A highlight was supporting the club’s tractor run, where Jessica enjoyed fundraising and developed her confidence in speaking with more people of all ages.

Particularly inspiring is the way Jessica helps new members feel welcome, ensuring others enjoy the same positive experience she has found through YFC.

Despite not being from a farming background, Lucy has fully embraced YFC life and, in just one year as a member of Penrith YFC, has made a significant impact on both her club and the wider county federation. Through YFC, she has built her confidence, developed an appreciation for farming and rural life, and discovered the importance of community and belonging. Lucy approaches every opportunity with enthusiasm, taking part in a wide range of competitions, while also supporting fundraising, community events and club activities.

She has already been given the role of a Field Day Social Secretary, where she is developing her leadership skills and is eager to progress to other roles in the future.

Lucy values the strong sense of connection and support that YFC provides, describing it as a place where young people can come together, switch off from the pressures of everyday life and form lasting friendships.

Toby has made a big impact in a remarkably short time, having joined Lark Valley YFC only in February. With a positive attitude and a genuine commitment to others, he has embraced every opportunity YFC offers and quickly become a respected role model among members of all ages.

He introduced a simple but highly effective Vote of Thanks initiative, ensuring hosts and speakers are recognised and appreciated at the end of events. His politeness, respect and willingness to encourage others to attend activities embody the values of YFC.

At just 15, he is already helping to build stronger connections across his club and county, creating meaningful relationships and inspiring others through his enthusiasm, empathy and ambition to one day progress from club level to county and beyond.
