Discounted Sheep shearing training

Upskill in 2026 – and for a fraction of the price! Whether you’re just starting out or already progressing on your sheep-shearing journey, British Wool will be offering discounted shearing training across all courses exclusively for YFC members. We’ll be sharing full details and how to apply in the New Year – so keep your eyes peeled and get ready to sharpen those skills!

Get your career on track in 2026 and bag yourself some free mentoring, thanks to funding from Defra. This amazing opportunity for YFC members from Twocan Mentoring will help you build meaningful connections, gain new insights, and make a difference in the food and farming industry. If you’re sitting on a brilliant business idea but not sure how to get it off the ground – why not enter the Business Innovation Challenge? Sing, sing, sing!

Show Choir is returning to the 2026 competitions line up giving YFC members the opportunity to sing together, which can be a positive stressbuster! Why not get a team together and take part in this exciting competition? All competitors will be required to sing a hit from the top 40 singles in the UK from 1 January 2025 to the date of the final (4 July 2026). Find out more.

Youth Adventure weekend

After the success of last year’s Youth Adventure weekend, there will be another opportunity for this YFC Travel experience for under 18s in 2026. All the details will be shared in the new year, giving younger members an amazing opportunity to get away and have fun with like-minded people.

Farm Fest

The Great British Farm-Fest is coming to Stoneleigh Park from 22-24 May 2026 and is a brand-new national festival celebrating the livelihoods, skills and produce of Britain’s farmers. Starring Jeremy Clarkson, Lisa Hogan, Kaleb Cooper, Charlie Ireland and hero farmers, musicians, chefs and more! All NFYFC members get exclusive access to half-price farmers’ tickets too so why not get a group of you together and enjoy live bands and special guest stars? Find out more.

Perform in Wales

We’re heading to Wales this year for the Annual Meeting of Clubs, the Entertainments finals and new for this year an AGRI discussion event with industry experts! Taking part in a Performing Arts competition is a brilliant way to make new friendships and build confidence. Join us from 25-26 April for a weekend treading the boards and celebrating YFC. See the world

We kick start the new year with our YFC Ski trip to Tignes in January and glide into a year of amazing adventures for YFC members. Trips include volunteering in Ghana and group travel to Canada, Nicaragua and Italy, as well as Rural Youth Europe escapes. Make 2026 your year to apply for YFC Travel – and check out all the trips for 2027 when they’re released in September!

YFC Achiever Awards

If you’ve had a brilliant year in YFC or know someone else who has achieved a lot, then make sure you nominate them for an award in 2026! Nominations open in the spring, with judging taking place in the summer, ready for our glittering awards ceremony in November.
