Young Farmers looking to develop their skills in filmmaking and sharing farming stories are being offered a fully-funded opportunity to learn how to make their ideas come to life on screen.
Rural Media, in partnership with the Environment Agency, is looking for a small group of young farmers aged 16–30 to make short films about the issues shaping the future of farming.
No previous filmmaking experience is required as this five-day course will provide hands-on training and support to develop, shoot and edit a short film. There will also be opportunities for the finished films to reach national audiences through social media and agricultural press.
The training and filming will take place in spring 2027 with Rural Media, with food and travel costs also covered.
The project, which is supported by the Environment Agency, aims to share real experiences of young people involved in farming. It will provide a platform for young farmers to speak openly as well as showing how the Environment Agency connects with agriculture.
Young Farmers interested in taking part in this experience are asked to register their interest and share more information about themselves and the stories they are interested in filming.
