Meet the Club of the Year Finalists 2026, sponsored by CFMOTO UK, who have been shortlisted from all our entries to be in the top five. Our judges have interviewed all the finalists and a winner and runner up will be announced at the awards ceremony on 12 December 2026.
Inclusivity is at the heart of Brockenhurst YFC’s culture. The club has partnered with a local organisation to engage young people with special educational needs and disabilities, while also recognising the needs of home-schooled members by ensuring meetings are focused on building friendships and social skills.
Through strong local promotion, the club has become a valued part of its community, welcoming 42 members from both farming and non-farming backgrounds. Excellent communication ensures members play an active role in shaping activities, helping to create a supportive environment where every member feels welcome, valued and encouraged to participate.
Strong community partnerships have played a key role in this club’s success. Collaboration with a local school has not only secured a meeting venue but also provided an effective route for member recruitment through the school’s messaging platform.
The club, which has 51 members, demonstrates a strong commitment to inclusivity by delivering meetings bilingually, ensuring members who do not speak Welsh can fully participate.
The club also worked together with their rural community to raise more than £40,000 to support charities and brought people together through their activities.
With 60 members, predominantly juniors, Norton & Gaulby YFC demonstrates strong member engagement and retention, losing only a small number of members due to education commitments. Recognising the importance of retaining older members, the club has introduced dedicated activities for senior age groups alongside a varied programme of weekly meetings.
Clear communication through detailed programmes and social media keeps members, parents and the county well informed, while strong links with county officials encourage high levels of participation. The club is inclusive and community-focused, working with neighbouring clubs and ensuring opportunities are accessible to members of all ages and backgrounds.
This club has undergone an outstanding transformation, growing from a club that was once at risk of closure to one that now boasts 50 members and significant county-level success, including winning the rally shield for the first time since 1983.
Strong communication through WhatsApp, social media and parent engagement helps keep members and families connected and informed. The club is welcoming and inclusive, encouraging participation from young people of all backgrounds and abilities, while also demonstrating a strong commitment to its community through initiatives such as local flood clean-up efforts. Together, these achievements have created a positive and supportive environment where members can thrive, contribute and succeed.
With 74 members, Princes Risborough YFC offers an interesting programme of farm visits, talks, social events and competitions for young people from both farming and non-farming backgrounds.
The club has a strong community focus, raising more than £35,000 for charity through initiatives such as a tractor run and fireworks night. They also invest in members through a bursary scheme that supports travel and skills development opportunities. Separate meetings for its junior members and older age groups ensure activities remain relevant and engaging, creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for all.
