10 free mentoring spaces available for YFC members

10 free mentoring spaces available for YFC members

NFYFC is offering 10 YFC members the opportunity to take part in a fully-funded mentoring programme to help grow careers, build networks and gain support from experienced mentors.

Successful applicants will join Helen Wyman’s TwoCan Mentor Programme and be part of a growing community of over 150 like-minded people in the food, farming, and horticultural sector.

Joining the TwoCan Mentor Programme will help participants to build meaningful connections, gain new insights, and make a difference in the food and farming industry.

This exciting opportunity, which is funded by Defra, will give YFC members the chance to represent the next generation and contribute their experiences, thoughts, challenges and ideas as future farming leaders.

What’s included in this offer:

  • One in-person training day (no expectations of writing and no long PowerPoints), on 16 March at Floral Media, Newark: The Woovers, Norwell Road, Caunton, Newark, Nottinghamshire, NG23 6AQ from 9:30 am-4:00pm.
  • Six one-hour online mentoring sessions over six months. This can lead onto a wider development programme if the participant chooses to do this.

How to apply:

To be considered for one of the 10 spaces, please use the online form and include a paragraph (300 words maximum) explaining why you should be chosen to take up this opportunity.

Applicants may be invited to take part in a further online conversation prior to invitation to ensure this programme is the right fit for you (nothing formal, just a chat).

For more information, contact sarah.palmer@nfyfc.org.uk or helen@twocanmentor.co.uk to discuss further. Find out more about the mentoring programme here.
