At the National final, competitors will be required to judge four rings of stock (four beef animals judged as butcher’s animals; four breeding ewes judged for breeding potential; four butchers pigs judged for slaughter; four dairy animals as productive animals). Animals in each ring will be designated A, B, X, Y.
Competitors will be required to complete a simple multi-choice Animal Health and Husbandry questionnaire and be required to identify cuts of meat.
