Kelvin and Liz Fletcher, stars of ITV programme Fletchers Family Farm, will support the presentation of awards at The National Federation of Young Farmers’ Clubs’ (NFYFC) YFC Achiever Awards in November.
Forty finalists have been shortlisted for their achievements in rural communities after being interviewed by the judges in eight different categories.
High profile names from across the industry helped to judge the YFC Achiever Awards and the winners will be announced at a special awards ceremony at the National Conference Centre in Birmingham on 2 November 2024.
Tickets are now on sale for the black-tie event, where NFYFC President John Lee OBE DL will compère proceedings, supported by Kelvin and Liz Fletcher.
The Fletchers helped judge the Young Farmer of the Year Award, which is sponsored by The Farm Safety Foundation.
We were thrilled to judge the Young Farmer of the Year Award this year and enjoyed meeting and chatting with the finalists. Their passion for the industry was truly inspiring. I look forward to seeing all the finalists at the awards ceremony later this November.

The awards recognise and reward the dedication and commitment shown by young people (and those who assist YFC) who are supporting the British countryside.
Eight award categories shine a light on the amazing work that YFC members and their supporters do throughout the year – from acts of kindness in local communities to developing rural enterprises.
Shortlisted finalists include YFC members from Brecknock, Carmarthenshire, Cambridgeshire, Ceredigion, Cumbria, Clwyd, Cornwall, East Riding of Yorkshire, Glamorgan, Hampshire, Isle of Man, Kent, Leicestershire, Norfolk, Notts, Northumberland, Oxfordshire, Pembrokeshire, Shropshire, Somerset, Staffordshire, and Yorkshire.
Among the 25 judges who helped choose this year’s 40 finalists are YouTuber and Tiktoker Joe Seels @joeseels, farming influencer Ioan Humphreys @That_Welsh_farmer, co-founder of Agrespect and farming influencer Ben Andrews @bentheoandrews and best-selling children’s author Hannah Russell.
NFYFC President John Lee OBE DL said the finalists showed what could be achieved by being part of a Young Farmers’ Club.
“I feel immense pride to be involved in the YFC Achiever Awards 2024, especially after meeting some of the finalists and seeing the contribution they are making to our organisation and the skills they have gained by being part of it. The awards are a wonderful way for NFYFC to celebrate the amount of time and energy people give to YFC to keep our clubs active and supported.
“Our finalists demonstrate the true spirit of YFC, and I am looking forward to celebrating their achievements with them at the ceremony in November. Congratulations to everyone and good luck!”
John helped to judge the Heart of YFC Award, but the finalists from this category must also face a public vote. Scores from the public vote, which closes on 1 September 2024, are combined with the judges’ weighting to decide an overall winner.
Rhian Hughes from Carmarthenshire, Ceridwen Edwards from Clwyd, Jack Saunders from Oxfordshire, David Harvey from Northumberland and David Long from Norfolk will be vying for votes over the next few weeks. People can vote online for who they think should win the Heart of YFC.
Tickets for the YFC Achiever Awards go on general release from 19 August 2024 for £70.
The awards are kindly supported by CFMOTO, Isuzu UK, KUHN, The Farm Safety Foundation and Savills.
