The NFYFC Senior Member of the Year competition recognizes outstanding contributions and involvement within the Young Farmers’ Clubs (YFC). Open to members aged 18 to 28, this competition allows participants to reflect on their experiences and achievements within YFC through an application and interview process. Competitors must submit a detailed synopsis of their involvement and will be interviewed by a panel of judges, showcasing their dedication to the YFC movement and their knowledge of the organization at local, regional, and national levels.
Finalists will also participate in a stage interview during the Performing Arts Final, where they will be asked questions about their contributions to YFC. The competition aims to highlight those who have been highly engaged in various YFC activities and who can serve as ambassadors for the organization. The winner will receive the coveted Total Butler Fuels Plaque, with prize cards awarded to top-placing competitors.
28 DAYS prior to the National Final competitors will be required to submit to the Competitions Department at NFYFC a completed synopsis form (attached) to be no more than 3 sides of A4, detailing their YFC activities. It is recommended that this form be used at County and Area level. (Special emphasis should be placed on their involvement at Club level).
Competitors will be interviewed by a panel of Judges. The interview will be formal, but will be in a supportive atmosphere with the opportunity for competitors to demonstrate why they should be Senior Member of the Year; prior to the Performing Arts competition.
Competitors will be required to attend the Performing Arts Final during which they will be asked two questions on stage, one previously asked in the interview stage, and another based on the competitor’s contribution to the YFC movement.
Results and Presentation of Awards will be made during the Performing Arts Final.
