Free training to amplify your voice on social media

YFC members are invited to register for a free training session to boost their knowledge and skills in social media management.

Delivered by social media specialist and award-winning communicator Louise Dillon, the online session – Social Media: Making Yourself Heard – has 20 free spaces available, which will be awarded on a first come first served basis.

The training will take place online on 12 March from 6pm-7.30pm. While spaces are limited, a second session will run on 30 April 2025 for those who miss out.

The social media training is part of NFYFC’s New Voices project, a collaboration with Lantra and Landex, and supported by Defra, which aims to help create more food and farming ambassadors.

Award-winning trainer

Trainer Louise has appeared in newspapers, television, and podcasts. She's written articles for the Huffington Post and the New Statesman and contributed to Newsnight, BBC Breakfast, Good Morning Britain, ITV News, Sky News, and Global Radio.

She is also a two-time Woman Who award winner (2022 & 2024), bringing warmth, wisdom, and practical strategies to her presentations, ensuring audiences leave inspired and equipped to elevate their online presence with purpose.

YFC AGRI Chair Robbie Tuer urged people to sign up for the training:

“We know that communication is key in getting our message across, that’s why we are continuing with our New Voices project – a programme designed to train future food and farming ambassadors. If you want to learn how to be a spokesperson for the industry and share your story, this is an opportunity not to be missed,” said Robbie.

The social media session follows on from an in-person training event last year that was focused on helping YFC members create a personal vision and communicating it with others. A dedicated podcast was recorded to support the session and to make the information more accessible to YFC members. Listen here.
