Since our club AGM we have held the following activities:
We have some exciting meetings ahead, including one with our generous sponsors, Katana Security, whose founders come from a farming background. Meeting with sponsors is something we aim to do with all our partnerships.
We’re pleased to have Katana Security on board this year, and we’ll be hosting a talk with them soon. This will be a great opportunity to meet our sponsors and learn about the importance of security at events. They'll explain how they work to ensure the safety of our members, helping everyone feel more comfortable approaching them if something goes wrong. Katana Security is at many YFC events across our county.
Our club has a wide range of competitions we enjoy, from cake decorating and cookery to dances and YFC’s Got Talent. Our favourite competition is the exhibits as we can all get involved with the decorating.
Last year, we were proud to take part in a range of community projects, including litter picking and Christmas tree collections.
Coming up, we have our annual All-You-Can-Eat Pudding Night! We love sharing this event with the local community. It’s a great way to raise funds for both our club and our chosen charities, Sunflower Suicide Prevention and Longfield Hospice, which are especially meaningful to our members this year.
We're excited to be named Club of the Month!
Not only did we sign up 32 active members at our recent new members' night—packed with fun activities tailored to different age groups—but we also make sure to listen to what our members want for future meetings, while aligning with upcoming competitions. We're incredibly proud to have such a dedicated group of members who actively support the club and what we stand for.
This was especially clear during National Young Farmers’ Week and the YFC is for Everyone initiative. All our members took part in the YFC Food Drop. Even though we may not need that support right now, we believe in helping those less fortunate—and we know that someday, we might need that same kindness.
Additionally, each of our members shared why they believe YFC is for Everyone by writing down their thoughts and speaking to the camera, showing their commitment to inclusivity and community.

Wotton & Dursley YFC provide a wide range of activities for all members to enjoy. They are focused on safety and have come up with a positive way to support members' safety at events by involving a sponsor.
We loved how much the club got involved in National Young Farmers' Week this year and the fact they promote YFC is for Everyone. They also did a brilliant job of collecting items for their local food bank as part of the YFC Food Drop too!
Food is definitely important to this club – their 'all you can eat pudding night' sounds amazing! Keep up the great work Wotton & Dursley YFC!
