Anecdotal evidence suggests one in four farming families in the UK are not speaking to a member of their family because they have fallen out over succession issues.
Communication and planning are vital for making the succession process easier. Working with NFYFC, succession expert Sian Bushell has shared her advice on how to manage the succession process to help young people have the confidence to start the conversation.
