Young Farmers' Club (YFC) members are invited to showcase their shearing skills at the upcoming National Sheep Association's (NSA) 2004 Sheep Event in July.
The competition, sponsored by Lister Shearing Equipment Limited, will take place at the Three Counties Showground in Malvern on 30 July 2024.
Competitors will have the chance to vie for a variety of prizes, including cash rewards, clothing, and combs. Each participant will receive a complimentary Lister Shearing Singlet, with finalists earning a comb (pending disqualification) and the winning team receiving exclusive NSA keepsake tumblers and engraved combs from Lister.
In addition to the prizes, each competitor will be granted an entry ticket to the event, and there's prize money for the top six placements.
Cash prize totals are as follows: 1st £60; 2nd £40; 3rd £30; 4th £20; 5th £10; 6th £10 with a prize card for the highest under 21.
Teams must consist of two YFC members, one under 21 years old and one over 21. Competitors must be 28 and under on the 1 September 2023. A total of four sheep to be shorn (two per member).
