YFC ISOLATION WORDSMITH CHALLENGE

Theme:

Isolation and me

Challenge opens:

24 April

Challenge closes:

30 April

Challenge final:

Five of the best entries will go through to the Challenge final, which will be held at the Greatest Online Agricultural Show on 2 May. The winner will be decided by a public vote.

How to take part:

We want to get the creative juices flowing and share what life is like for members living in rural isolation during the Covid-19 crisis. We want to capture the voices of Young Farmers and find out how you are feeling and managing under the restrictions we are currently living. These stories or poems can be fun or serious – it’s entirely up to you!

The only criteria are that we ask is that you write no more than 500 words – and that you share your work on social media.

You can do this by:

a) Asking someone to record you while you read your writing, and then uploading the file to Instagram, Facebook or Twitter, tagging NFYFC and using the hashtag #YFCAtHome

b) Pasting your words into a Facebook post and tagging NFYFC and using the hashtag #YFCAtHome

c) Sending your entry via email to Lauren.Hancox@nfyfc.org.uk

NFYFC’s tags are @NFYFC (Instagram) and National Federation of Young Farmers’ Clubs (Facebook).

Marketing

By entering this competition you give permission for the images to be used by the NFYFC for marketing and promotional purposes. Images may be entered into ‘The Greatest Online Agricultural Show’ – more information to be provided on this.
