YFC Travel trips in 2019 - How to apply

Download an application form from the NFYFC website or contact your county office. Your county office is required to sign your completed form before it is sent to NFYFC.

 Selection Day date:Saturday 1st December 2018
 Selection Day venue:The Woodland Grange Hotel, Old Milverton Lane, Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, CV32 6RN. Due to restrictions within the venue, Skype will not be an interview option this year; all interviews will be face to face.
 Short listing:NFYFC reserves the right to shortlist applications in the case of over subscription. If your application does not make the shortlist, you will be contacted with the option to apply for another trip.
 Signature:NFYFC will only accept applications signed by the applicant and a County staff member of the YFC County Office.
 YFABy signing this application form, you are consenting to be contacted by the Young Farmers Ambassadors (YFA) if you are selected for a trip.

Terms and Conditions

* Members are only able to participate in three Homestay trips during their YFC membership. This does not include C Alma Baker, RYE or team travel

*Canada 4H: This trip must be taken after the YFC member has hosted a Canadian Exchangee for 1-2 weeks in the UK. You will stay with the same member during the whole of your stay in Canada

*C Alma Baker trip to New Zealand allows for one month free time after the three months

*Members must be able to travel on the date specified by the host country/ state and these may be subject to change

* For trips that take two or more exchangees, the members selected are advised to liaise and coordinate travel with one another

*If you are applying for a trip with a stay of over two weeks long, please ensure you have permission from your employer to have the minimum time off as stated above

* With the exception of C Alma Baker, all visas (if required), flights, insurance & travel vaccinations (if required) are at the members own cost and are the responsibility of the members. Members will also need to cover the cost of their social expenditure on each trip. Local bursaries may be available, contact your County Office to find out more.

* For the Autumn Seminar, Study Session and European Rally there is a possible percentage of reimbursement towards travel costs depending on funding at RYE.

*Should a trip(s) receive a high volume of applications, NFYFC reserves the right to shortlist members for selection day.

* For the Scotland, Northern Ireland, European Rally, Autumn Seminar and Study Session trip, only YFC members holding membership with an English county can apply. Wales are eligible to send their own delegates. 

* Age ranges: The minimum age listed for each trip means you must be the stated age or older on 1st January 2019. The maximum age listed for each trip means you must not be older than the stated age on 1st September 2018.
