14 July 2022
NFYFC has four free spaces available for YFC members to visit the Landworkers’ Alliance’s Land Skills Fair on 22 July 2022 and take part in a new food and farming project.
The YFC members would join representatives from Students Organising for Sustainability UK (SoS-UK) and FLAME as part of a new collaborative project called How Farming Can Cool the Planet.
The aim of the project is to engage young people in the food and farming movement through their existing passion to help tackle the climate crisis.
The exciting opportunity for YFC members at the Land Skills Fair involves:
Travel costs to the Land Skills Fair will be covered, and food and refreshments will be provided.
The Land Skills Fair is a multigenerational and multicultural skill and knowledge exchange that includes workshops, talks, activities and music.
The three organisations involved in the How Farming Can Cool the Planet project are encouraging discussion, sharing opinions and gathering material for a new multimedia resource. Working together, they want to suggest and share practical solutions in an innovative but positive way. Your involvement at the Land Skills Fair will contribute towards those resources and ensure young farmers’ views are heard.
