Kuhn's podcast series 

A new informative podcast series has been developed by Kuhn for YFC members that is aimed at supporting career development and providing insight on key industry topics.

The podcasts are being recorded by Meet the Farmer podcaster Ben Eagle and each one explores topics such as careers, regenerative farming and quality forage.

Series two

A new three-part series of podcasts have been recorded for YFC members in 2022 and the latest episodes are below. 

Episode two

In this episode, podcaster Ben Eagle meets KUHN Bedding and Feeding Sales Specialists James Hutchison and Gordon Logan to discuss the latest technology that KUHN is producing to help livestock farmers. 

Episode one

The first episode in this latest series highlights changes in farming practices and innovation in technology in the arable sector. Representatives from KUHN, Non-inversion and Spraying Sales Specialist Rupert Greest and Area Sales Manager John Hulland, discuss the latest kit that KUHN is producing to help arable farmers and how they are connecting with customers through apps and even TikTok.   

Series one 

Episode one 

Episode one discusses Kuhn’s history and introduces some members of the team – Managing Director Sian Pritchard, Marketing Manager Kate Hughes and John Lovell Technical Support Manager in the South of England – all of whom are former YFC members. The discussion highlights why the company has supported NFYFC for a number of years, the roles in the business and also passes on tips to people looking for a career with the farm machinery giant.  


Episode two 

Episode two focuses on the topic of forage. It includes interviews with Kuhn’s Product Specialist Katie Calcutt and leading plastic manufacturer Berry BPI’s Area Sales Manager Stuart Anthony. The conversation reveals how a range of harvesting equipment has been created to process forage at very high outputs but that the focus has now turned to higher efficiencies and the benefits that brings in terms of sustainability.


Episode 3

Episode three focuses on exploring regenerative agriculture and using suitable machinery. It includes interviews with Ed Worts, Kuhn’s Product Specialist and Russell Carrington, Manager of Knepp Regenerative Farms for an insightful discussion about regenerative agriculture; the benefits, controversies and continued communication needed. The conversation also highlights the possible future opportunities for new entrant livestock farmers to work collaboratively if integrating livestock to arable systems.
