Who we are

The National Federation of Young Farmers' Clubs

With 22,000 members and more than 580 clubs, the National Federation of Young Farmers’ Clubs (NFYFC) is one of the largest rural youth organisations in the UK.

We have been around for 90 years and our first club opened in Devon in 1921! You can read more about our history here.

The National Federation heads up these clubs providing the framework for a whole host of exciting events, competitions and new experiences. But it’s our members who really make the decisions.

Led by young people, for young people, Young Farmers' Clubs provide anyone aged 10 to 28 with a fantastic chance to meet lifelong friends, learn new skills, make a real difference to the local community and even travel the world!

Have a look around our website for more info on the huge range of opportunities available for our members. We offer:

  • A varied Competitions progamme where thousands of young farmers compete at local and national level in activities ranging from stock judging to floral arts
  • An exciting and unique YFC Travel programme, that includes homestays and working holidays – as well as fun ski trips
  • A comprehensive Skills and training programme to help you advance your skills and your career
  • Opportunities to get involved in national campaigns on issues affecting rural communities or those working in agriculture

If you’re interested in becoming a part of this unique group of people, find out more about becoming a member. And don’t worry, you don’t have to be a farmer - in fact you don’t have to know anything about farming, all you need is a sense of adventure and a love of the countryside!
